How We Pick Products

Freya Maria is a shopping guide, not a store. We don’t make or sell the products you see here (apart from future Freya Maria Originals). This page explains exactly how a product gets listed, and how we earn money.

1. We shortlist

We look for pieces from established brands that shoppers in India and beyond actually buy. We favour listings with a strong customer rating (usually 4 out of 5 or higher) across a meaningful number of reviews, clear material details (for example 925 sterling silver, gold plating or zirconia) and a reputable seller.

2. We verify the listing

Before a product goes live we open the retailer listing and check the material, rating, review count, seller and availability. Each store link on a product page shows the date the listing was last checked. Prices change often, so we never show a stored price. Always check the current price at the store.

3. We explain, we don’t pretend

Where we add an opinion (“Our take”, pros and cons, “Best for”), it is our editorial judgement based on the listing, the brand and customer feedback. Unless an article says so, we have not personally tested the product, and we will never claim that we have.

4. How we make money

When you buy through a link on Freya Maria we may earn a small commission from the store, for example as an Amazon Associate. It never changes the price you pay. Products are not listed because a brand paid us; if content is ever sponsored, it will be labelled clearly. Read our affiliate disclosure and editorial policy.

5. We keep it current

Listings are re-checked periodically. If a product is discontinued, its rating drops or its details change, we update or remove it. Spot something out of date? Tell us and we’ll fix it.
